3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Good roasted malt aroma with a spicy edge to it. Crystal clear bright copper color with a foamy white head. Lightly sweet caramel taste with a little bubblegum in the background, but this is dried out by toasted bread and earthy hop bitterness. Somewhat creamy texture, but light and smooth drinking. Leaves a puckering bitterness behind that demands another sip.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Quite the hoppy winter ale with just enough sweet caramel undertones to make for an easy drinker. Having a hard time with the classification of this brew - some sites show this to be a strong ale but it is more along the lines of a hoppy amber ale. Iíd recommend some spicy chicken fajitas or perhaps some spicy fish tacos to pair up with this brew.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A clear, light copper pour with a thin, white head. The aroma is herbal hops and a slight pine wood. It has a medium body with an oily texture and lively carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet followed by a more bitter finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
13 dec 2011, bottle, 7.2% abv. light orange, clear, steady bubbles, frothy head. aroma is all bready alcohol. med body and a bit fizzy. amber ale with faintest cherry flavor, slight alcohol notes, and the faintest of bitter resiny hops. pretty decent actually. iíd have to say it reminds me more of a low abv belgian ale than an english strong ale.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted 2011 vintage from bottle into nonic pint glass. Poured a clear copper color with fluffy off-white head, some lace. Mild aromas of flowery and fruity English hops, some grains, bread, toffee and fruit. Basic amber ale flavor with solid hops bitterness. Nothing really memorable, but the refined malts and hops with 7.25% ABV make this far better than most macro beer available. Itís English, itís Strong, and itís Ale, so score three points for the good guys.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap. Seemed aged. Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a white head. Aromas are of esters, orange, marmalade, bready and a light caramel backbone. Flavors are bready, marmalade. Some decent bitterness. Quite muted. Tastes like this could be an old keg, some oxidized notes as well. Medium bubbles, soft carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hops, caramel and maybe cinnamon/nutmeg in the nose. The taste is like the nose. The hops hit you first and then the taste fades to caramel, malt and subtle spices with a pleasant, lingering aftertaste. The hops donít wreck your palate. This is an enjoyable, well balanced Amber Ale which seems to be under rated and misclassified here. I didnít fully appreciate this one until beer number two was consumed.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle courtesy of Javit. Cheers, Adam! Pours a nice clear toffee color with an off-white head. Nose is biscuity malt, grassy and lemony citrus hops, and a nice malt backbone and some toffee and a hint of sugar underneath. Flavor has a nice burst of malt with some candy undertones and biscuit with toffee and malt. FInish is slight lemon and grassy hops with malt and toffee. Medium in body and at 6.2%, a nice winter ale.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a bright copper with a small off-white head and no lacing. The aroma is light caramel, apples, lemon, and cinnamon. The flavor is mildly bitter, and sweet. The palate is light to medium, crisp, and sticky. The aftertaste is long and bitter. Overall, this is a good, easy drinking and well made beer.
