3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle from Binnys singles rack (Naperville, IL). Pours a nice deep copper, still fiery edges, a very large khaki head dies to a decent level, leaves a good lacing with a more cakey head. Aromas are citrusy hops, orange marmalade, caramel and toffee sweet sticky malts, a touch of toast. Initial is lighter bodied than expected, orange marmalade, bubblegum, florals, toasted malts with sweet caramel and toffee, a decent bitterness, faint spiciness, a touch of soapiness. The beer is toasty, considerably thinner than expected, goes down easily if not a bit too sweet for my liking. Simple, caramel and toast mix with a decent bitterness that the sweetness largely overtakes. Orange marmalade, jelly, preserves, fruity but malty. Not bad, just not a preferred drink on my part.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bit of a funky aroma upon pouring. a little too sweet for my liking - but Iím sure if it was winter in Montana I would want something chewy like this.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
The beer pours a golden-orange color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the toffee with some caramel and grassy hops mixed in. The flavor is toffee and bready malt. There is a little bit of hop bitterness and a tad bit of flavor from the grassy hops, but this beer is all about the malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
When I opened the beer I was expecting a winter warmer. It was a surprise to see a lighter colored amber ale, but the beer was still enjoyable.

12oz botle pours a clear orange with some lacing, white head. Nose is nice, some cracker, some rye, some orange, bread crust, mild soap, some herbs. Flavor is good, sweet malt, honey, orange, pine sap, soap, mild herb, some spruce. Mostly clean, herbal finish. Not bad.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma is toasty, roasty, a little sweet, with a touch of aspirin. Pours amber ish. Flavors of toasted malts, caramel, toffee. Some roast all with a almost unpleasant medicinal finish. Not my favorite.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This has a good looking pour, a clear reddish brown body with a solid, creamy beige head that laces nicely. The aroma is caramel with a touch of butterscotch, cherries and fresh apples, and a hint of wood. Itís a bit watery or Iíd rate it higher. Otherwise, the flavor nicely reflects the aroma. Just a touch of herbal/earthy bitterness is added at the end. Good.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle: Courtesy of DarkElf via trade. Malty aroma of caramel and toffee with a touch of hops and metal. Pours a very dark amber with a decent off-white head with some staying power. Flavor is a watery caramel up front and some light chocolate in the middle. Finishes with some weak nutty metallic hops. Rather mediocre if you ask me.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle courtesy of hopdog! Ruby body with a small tan head. Nose is malty and fruity with caramel notes, rich toffee, dark fruits, and brown sugar. It almost smells like a dessert. Canít place my finger on it, though. Taste is malty and slightly floral. Some caramel and toffee notes along with ripened fruits and soft nutty flavors. Body is creamy and smooth. Mild carbonation with an overall medium feel. Finishes with more caramel, bigger fruit notes, light hops, light toffee and toasty malts. Touch of brown sugar as well. Nice!
