Bottled. Pours deep amber with a ruby hue and a light brown head. Aroma is bread and malt. Flavor is creamy nuts! Some roasted bread, and pretty strong malt body.

Thanks to hopdog. Pours a lightly hazy ruby amber with a smaller bubbly tan head. Aroma of caramel, tobacco, some dark fruits, molasses and nuts. Flavor of toffee, nuts, toasty, dried fruits, some light citrus...but mostly malty and sweet.

12 oz. bottle enjoyed with my brother in law. This was part of a mixed 12 pack of Big Sky beers. Pour is amber, clear, with a light tan head. Aroma of caramel, some biscuity malt. The hops are fairly muted, been lend a bit of spice and earthiness. Taste is a mirror of the nose, caramel malt, a bit roasted and the hops near the end to spice things up a bit. Overall decent, though not terribly interesting. I was a bit surprised to see this listed as an English Strong.

This reminded me a bit of a darker bock. Very malty but some good balancing dryness. A little nutty and some good roasted flavors. A nice winter warmer.

Aroma is toasty, roasty, a little sweet, with a touch of aspirin. Pours amber ish. Flavors of toasted malts, caramel, toffee. Some roast all with a almost unpleasant medicinal finish. Not my favorite.

Pours dark copper with a 3 finger tan head that has great retention. Aroma is grainy malt, caramel, roasted nuts, wood notes, dark fruits, dessert spices and some planty hops. Flavor is caramel, nuts, hints of dark chocolate, toasted pine, some nutty and earthy notes come out as well as some more malt sweetness as the beer warms. Finish is earthy, spicy and slightly bitter. Palate is medium thickness somewhat dry and chalky, while being a bit sticky on the lips. Overall not bad but nothing too impressive.

12oz bottle. Fairly average offering that did not leave much of an impression. In fact I do not remember any details about this one other than it was drinkable but nothing special.

I was not expecting the hoppiness of this beer, and as I am not particularly fond of hoppy beers I will not be drinking it again. I imagine it would get more positive reviews if the labeling was more informative. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
