2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours translucent copper with plenty of bubbles and a huge head that last a good, nice while. The nose is balanced for the most part but erring on the grainy malty side. The flavor kicks off with a lot of unfermented barley malt though. Ehhhh. This lingers in the finish. Brew it longer.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear orange amber color with a lasting light golden/tan head. Aroma of light malt, anise, and stomach acid. Slightly sour orange flavors, along with mild malt. Very sour/bitter finish makes you want to drink something else.

Copper color with a small white head. Mildly sweet with some notes of caramel malt. Fruity and bready with a touch of hops.

On tap at Dublin Pub in Portland, OR--Poured a deep brown-black body with little to no head. Oily body. Nose of gingerbread, cherries, and stale malts. Fruity presence was disturbed by an off flavor presumably due to dirty tap lines. Peppery and sticky. Overall not very enjoyable, but will try again to make certain.

Slight raisins on the nose. Burnt orange. Not much sweetness, almost "soapy quality. Not very well balanced. Good body, needs more carbonation. Way better winter beers out there.

Bottle. Nice colour, and head. A little chewy in overall feel. Still, only a western brew, this has nothing on it’s English counterparts.

12 oz. bottle from the local QFC. Not much of a head to speak of with this beer. Transparent dark coppery brown appearance. Looks fairly decent, but I have sen better. Sweet caramel malt and toasted malts coming through in the aroma. This is a fairly pungent beer I must say. Aroma is not terribly nuanced, or impressive, but it does the trick. Very flat nappy beer. Has light carbonation, but it is too light for me. The toast and caramel malt flavors come through, but boy does this beer fall short.

Tasted from a 12 oz. bottle purchased in Fort Collins, Colorado. Medium copper body with a hoppy, almost juniper like aroma.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This beer pours a clear honey golden with a thin pasty head. Almost no carbonation to be seen. Amazingly small aroma but the flavor is much bigger and more aggressive. Big malts with significant hop notes. Citrus fruit is both sweet and tart. Soft caramel. There is a bit of cinnamon spice and some metal. To me this was craft beer meets high gravity.

Clear copper with a weak, beige head. Caramel notes, nutty, dried fruit, fennel, hops in the nose. Good body and a fairly thick texture. The flavor was spicy, citrusy. Pleasant but not exceptional.
