Pygmy Owl is an IPA with full fledged hop taste and aroma, yet is remarkably low in alcohol. In fact, it clocks in at only 4.2% ABV. An IPA with full flavor, but without the harsh bitterness. And the best part, you can have more than one without getting that drunkied up feeling.

12 oz bottle from Jerry, thanks. Itís one of those beers that doesnít have to stop and change color, and its got a white head. Mild citrus aroma, a bit grassy. Doesnít taste like much of anything, doesnít resemble any IPA Iíve had before. I think this might work on a hot summer day that you spend at the beach, but I probably wont find that out.

Good session IPA, sweet hop aroma. Grainy bitter hop taste. Not too sweet. I like the carbonation level here.

Draft at Uber. Come on, already. This is an APA. I get the marketing tactics, but itís an APA. Time to start marketing the style. Still, if youíre going to explain what a sessionable hoppy beer is in five words or fewer, you really canít argue with BSBCís approach here. Gotta hand it to íem for making the flavors and ABV clear at a glance for novices. Pours a slightly hazy medium amber with a loose sudsy whitish head. Big sweet grapefruity nose--crystal clear hop note, very mild, not much malt interference there. Creamy body on the light side of medium with lively carb. Lightly toasted caramel with a crisp grapefruit note on the mid palate. Crisp light finish.

This beer is slightly hazy golden with a two finger white head that left plenty of lacing. The aroma is citrusy and grassy. The taste is rather light up front but finishes with a extremely mild hop and citrus kick. To be honest this beer doesnít really taste like an ipa all that much and if I were rating it on the style it is rather low. However, there is nothing bad about the beer and worth a try but donít expect this to be anything like a regular ipa as it is weaker than most other session ipaís
