COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pygmy Owl is an IPA with full fledged hop taste and aroma, yet is remarkably low in alcohol. In fact, it clocks in at only 4.2% ABV. An IPA with full flavor, but without the harsh bitterness. And the best part, you can have more than one without getting that drunkied up feeling.
Availability: February-April

12oz picked up a while back... I forget where I found it, but a fair number of places have it available now... Pours a pale straw... decent enough white head with spotty lacing.. Nose shows biscuity malt with bunches of lemony and grassy hops.. Flavor strikes me as a pretty heavy wheat/pale maltiness for anything labeled close to an IPA... but the bitterness balances pretty well and a good amount of light citrus and herbal/lite pine hops come in and make this very drinkable. Light body... good carbonation.. plenty of flavor... Pretty darn nice.

Hoppy aroma of citrus and pine. Pours a clear golden color with big fluffy head. Piney hop flavor, floral, earthy, biscuits malt. Light bodied with medium co2, light bitter finish. Enjoyable beer. Easy to drink. Not overly complex, but interesting enough to keep drinking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

on draft at brewery, this one is light, some light pine flavors, a little orange and grapefruit. High carbonation. Thin body.

12oz bottle. Not much to say. Only bought this because I was rushed and needed to fill 6 pack carrier. But here goes. Pour-blonde to clear. Head- slightly above adequate. Aroma- where? Palate-a little resin, some citrus but thatís all. If I was planning to drink a dozen, then this would be a good choice. Overall, wish I had filled the last spot with something else. It IS what it is intended to be...a easy drinking session able (12) ale. Just not for me.

All things considered this is a fine Session IPA. It has enough hoppiness and bitterness to satisfy the itch, but goes down really smoothly. Do not compare this beer to other West Coast IPAís or you will be dissappointed.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, golden with a nice white head and some lacing on the glass. Aroma of lemon, hops and grain. Taste follows, slightly hoppy, citrus fruits, bread and malts. Nice beer, enjoyable, very easy to drink.

Better than its ratings show. Nice and citrus juicy. Had out of a can at home. Smells like citrus. Pours light yellow with a sticky white head. Nice session

12 oz. bottle served in a shaker on 12-26-15. Poured a transparent thin yellow color (almost a pale ale-ish color), thin white wafer for a head, sits very still in the vessel. Aroma of hay that has been up in the barn for 2 months (not bad), and some "english hops" (hey, cut me a break, thatís what my notes say!). Hits the mouth with a light body, lemon comes on the start, middle has light hop crescent, finish is lightly acidic. Could pound back 12 and be happy all night.

Pale golden color and pale IPA aroma and taste. Too dumbed down from regular IPA.
