pkbites (278), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Oct 26, 2004 Beautiful copper color. Pours a rich, creamy head. Aroma of fresh bakery, but not overly so.
Flavor is lightly bold, & buttery. Like warm caramel but not really sweet. Quick finish, but it leaves a wonderfully bitter after taste. The bitter taste isn’t fully detected until after you swallow.
How did they do that?
scooterbub (259), Lander, Wyoming, USA Jan 2, 2009 Bottle. Pours a light amber color with a decent, frothy, clingy, white head that fades slowly. Taste is sweet, of hops, pine, grapefruit/citrus/fruit and caramel. Similar, but robust aroma. Has a good bitterness to it. Very easy to drink and leaves me wanting more. Overall, for the price, this is a very satisfying beer that is well worth purchasing again. aetheon (26), Beer Dungeon, Minnesota, USA Dec 18, 2008 nice dark golden color w a touch of brown.
light aroma, and light to moderate carbonation. flavors are generally mellow all around a little citrus, grassy and slight carmel with a moderate hoppy sharp finish.
very drinkable, would go great with pizza nbutler11 (389), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Dec 12, 2008 Pours a nice apricot color from the bottle with a white head. Lots of floral hops on the nose along with some citrus. Both carry through into the flavor. Great balance of sweet citrus to go with the combination of hops. I do not normally enjoy pale ales, but I could drink this all day. AmEricanbrew (1218), Office of The President Elect,, Louisiana, USA Dec 4, 2008 Clear amber with a frothy head. Mild grassy hop aroma. Medium body. Decent flavor is mostly pale bready malts with a honey sweetness. Very smooth, barely bitter finish. kidwiththehair (45), Girdwood, Alaska, USA Oct 27, 2008 Golden pour, small white head. Smell is hoppy and slightly citrus.
