3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Aroma of roasted malts with a hint of coco. A dark brown pour with a rapidly diminishing tan head. The taste is similar to the nose. Roasted malts, chocolate, and some grain in the finish and aftertaste. Medium- light mouthfeel and average carbonation. Overall, quite tasty, but wish it were more full bodied.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a dark black with some ruby shining through when held up to light. The head is moderate sized and khaki. The aroma is roasted malts and maybe some chocolate. The taste is very similar to the aroma. Very mild hop presence. There is some sweetness to this beer but not overpowered. Perfectly balanced oatmeal stout!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice oatmeal stout here! Pours a very dark brown with a small, tan head. A dark beer I could drink all night long...but would have a big headache in the morning with the 5.4% alcohol content. Anyway, a winner!!!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark reddish brown to black and almost opaque. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, hazelnut, and a little bit of ginger bread. Taste of chocolate, roasted dark malt, and nuts. Many beers like this have coffee or dark chocolate bitterness, but it’s very subtle in this beer. Texture is a bit creamy and medium bodied.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a nearly pitch black color with a one finger head of a tan colored foam. The head fades very fast leaving only a light level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma of the brew is heaviest of a roasted malt with tons of oatmeal and caramel. Other big aromas of a cocoa nature are there as well mixed with some hints of a vanilla and an almost cola like smell to produce a very pleasant and inviting warming aroma overall.
Taste – The taste starts with a moderately roasty and sweet flavor with tons of caramel and cola flavors upfront. There is a bit of an oatmeal flavor, which starts out light and remains so throughout to the end of the taste. All the while, as the taste moves forward, the roasted flavor seems to dwindle a bit with it taking on even more cola and a little bit of dark fruit of a more plum like nature. With a little bit of a cherry and some light vanilla coming at the very end, one is left with a moderately sweet and sorta lightly roasted flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is rather thin for a stout of 5.4 % with a carbonation level that is on the average to slightly higher side for a stout. Not really the right feel for the style as it too much accentuated the sweet over the roasted-darker flavor so the brew.
Overall – Not really one I cared for all too much, it was too sweet without enough roast and didn’t really have a great body for the style. Ah… just OK.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pretty average all the way around. Normal color and aroma, rather dull appearance. Taste is correct for the style, but not too exciting

Well rounded oatmeal stout but also rather boring. Big and malty, little tan head that fades quick.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle from Cash Wise in Watford. Appearance: finger light brown head, light lacing, dark brown-black. Aroma: milk chocolate, oatmeal, light roast, earthy, light coffee, molasses. Palate: full body, average carbonation, oily texture, bitter finish. Taste: subtle sweet milk chocolate into a rather intense molasses malty sweetness, and then into a moderate coffee bitterness. Overall, the beer is not super smooth, and the palate is a little rough for the style in my opinion.

"the only part of this beer that is lacking is the body, and not by much. it looks like your prototypical stout, has a rich flavor, but a slightly thin feel. Very nice roasted malt finish. A solid oatmeal stout and one of BSs best."
