Pours dark but with little to no head retention. Not as much roasted character as I would like and very little mouthfeel, especially for an oatmeal stout. This beer left me very disappointed as the style they were trying to brew is one of my favorites when brewed correctly.

A light, roasty, slightly caramel taste. Fine mocha colored head. The aroma is present, but minimal.

Black color with brownish head. Itís a bit bready, dry, with some dulce de leche caramel style, and ordinary bitterness.
Different.

Bottle pours a clear dark brown. Quick fizy head and no real lacing. Dark malty roasted aroma. A bit of soot and ash tray. Mild roasted flavors with a little chocolate. Was expecting a fuller body and smoother feel for an oatmeal stout. Rather dry and quick palate.

This brew pours a dark ruby with absolutely no head at all. No lacing, no head, the aroma of smelly feet and raisins coming from the glass is intriguing and unfortunate at the same time. The first sip weakly announces a thin, mostly flat and dull experience on the tongue, and the second brings in a roasted malt that barely makes up for the initial bad foot smell. The liquid is thin for an stout and not nearly as creamy as a fine oatmeal stout. The flavor is actually not too terribly bad and Iím enjoying the afterward, but thatís all Iíve enjoyed about this one.

bottle. Black with small head. Very malty base, but a bit on the thin side. Average or a bit below.

Fall 2011 A: Pours dark brown with less than a finger of transient latte foam which leaves a scratched mirror surface with a border of foam. No lace. When available near excellent clarity. S: Oats, bitters, roasted malts, earthy hops (faint), slight sweetness. T: Semi bitter with some earthy flavors from the malts. Slight american ale yeast flavor. M: thin for the style with moderate carbonation. Semi dry finish. O: Meh, not at all impressive for the style. Serving type: bottle 10-10-2011

UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 12 oz Bottle. The beer pours to a black color with a small tan head. The aroma is malty, roasty, coffee, deep caramel flavors. The taste has a nice slightly sweet upfront taste followed by a rich finish. Overall a good Stout.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Taste roasted malt, slightly sweet. I thought this was un impressive. I would pass on drinking this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: APR 8, 2014 Bottle: Deep brown with ruby red hints, lighter hued than expected for an oatmeal stout, I guess. Big, light-tan head that takes a while to dissipate fully. Aroma has some deep roast, mild cocoa bean, and a bit of caramel. Kind of light and a little astringency. A tad too simple and muzzled, maybe. Taste is a bit better. Nice mild cocoa flavor, roasted malts, a touch of brown sugar, though it still could use a little surge. Mouth feel isnít quite up to par for the style. A merely "okay" oatmeal stout at best; a tad too simplistic and possibly mundane.
