Black pour with a tight and present off white head. slight funky oatmeal and zinc or some metallic funk on the head. taste was of a slight toastyness and the mouth feel and body were pathetically watery. No a good representation of the style whatsoever.

Bottle. Pours a blackish color with some red notes and a tan head. Aroma is of roasted malt, coffee, cereal grains, oatmeal, chocolate and dark fruit. The flavor follows the nose, lots of cereal grains and roasted malt, some dark fruit, oats, dark fruit, coffee and some sugary notes. The body is medium with a dry creamy mouth feel. Overall a solid Oatmeal Stout.

Dark brown pour into thick, pillowy tan head that slowly dissipates into melting lacing melting into a pool of foam. Aroma of malty chocolate, toasted oats, and coffee. Initial flavor of milk chocolate and that fades into a malty finish. I’ve waited for this one for a long time, but I’d like to sample this one directly from the tap someday.

Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a creamy two finger tan head. Aroma was roasted malts, coffee and oatmeal. Flavor was coffee, oats and chocolate. Thin body. Kind of watery. Could have been a better beer. Still drinkable.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with an off-white head. Roasty nose with mild chocolate. Medium to thinner palate. Taste is very nice - roasted oats, chocolate, and lactose. Quite enjoyable.

It was exciting when I poured it. The nose was great and I thought I was in for a real treat. But then the roasty, dark malty promise gave way to a thinner, less hefty reality. Sadly the taste and body don’t live up to the aroma. It’s drinkable, I don’t want to sell it short, but it’s not quite what it could be. It’s not "big" enough to be an oatmeal stout.

Pours out black, with a medium light tan head, leaves pretty fine lace. Smells like a cookie! Brown sugar, milk chocolate, some light vanilla, with that kind-of cookie like background note. Great full body with a deep and rich chocolaty tone, some more brown sugar, a touch of coffee, light molasses and light vanilla. Such a full flavor for a 5.4%! Has a bit of lactose-like sweetness as well, adding to the cookie quality. Sweet and dark, delightfully chocolaty!

Bottle:   Deep cola in color, moderate to thin light beige head, spotty lacing.   Soft roasted malt nose, lactose sweetness, a little burnt.   Similar tongue, roasted malt, not as sweet as the nose suggested tho.   Not very heavy, in fact a little watery.   Certainly not a big Oatmeal Stout by any means.   Clean, roasted malt finish, remains with a slight sweetness but also a smidgen of sourness.   Simple yet tasty.   Could use a little bit more sweetness.
