3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to the inlaws for bringing me a growler of this. Deep copper colour with a thin fast-fading head. The aroma is softly malty with a rich of caramel and and some woody hoppiness on the finish. A little bit of toffee in the middle as well. Pretty nice brew really.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Keg at Mawell’s Plum, Halifax. It pours deep amber-red with a small white head. The nose is soft, sweet, jammy, Victoria sponge, strawberry and fresh summer fruits. The taste is crisp, bitter-sweet, jammy, red berry, candy, toasty cereal, brown bread, metallic lagery notes and caramel with a short, dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Basic red ale. Far from excited me...

20oz on tap into a tulip. Pours a deep reddish copper with minimal head. Malty nose with a hint of earthiness. Sweet caramel flavour with a light hop and a bitter, moderately dry finish. Pretty solid.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
A hazed reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, nutty malt with grassy hops, herbal character. In mouth, biscuit malt with grassy hops, rather watery and with off notes.
