COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Firestorm is a full-bodied India Black Ale with a dark, roasted malt backbone, a strong hop aroma, and aggressive bitterness. This India Black Ale sits at a high 7.2% and pours jet black with a thick mocha head. There are hints of chocolate, caramel, and hops on the nose with a storm of roasted malts and a strong, lasting bitter finish.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma has roasted malt notes along with piney hops and a touch of coffee. Similar flavor with a nice amount of bitterness in the finish. Nice beer overall.

Big Storm Firestorm Black IPA is good but doesn’t quite make it to exceptional. Nice head on a dark pour, but with only a slight fresh hop aroma. Only a roasty note is detected before the bitterness washes it away. Based on the description, I was expecting more coffee and chocolate notes. Firestorm is nice with a meal but not very complex.

Quite strong and very black. NIce in features and fine to drink but with caution due its strong alcohol.

On draft at Big Storm. Pours a hazy brown with an off-white head. Nose is roasted malts, some toast, earth, and some piney hops. Flavor is similar with roasted malts, some toast, some earth, and some pine. Light to medium in body and interesting overall.

Not very hoppy, kind of weak for an ipa. Hints of coffee and caramel. Best beer I’ve had from Big Storm.

On tap at Brandon Brass Tap, pours a dark black color with a rhick mocha head, aromas of roast, light coffee and citrus. Flavors dollow suit with some bitter coffee followed by some citrus. This is the best that I have has from them so far.
