2011-08-01. Crisp golden amber body with a small off-white head. 3+ Flavour is fruity, modest hoppy bitterness throughout. Light green leafy notes, muted citrus. 6+ Mild aroma, sweet malt, mild citrus. Smooth aver plus bodied palate, lightly carbonated. 3+ Bit tame for an IPA, but enjoyable. UPDATED: NOV 6, 2011 Draft at Big Tide. Draft came without much head, but I was in a big group so I don’t know how long it was from the pour to the table. Colour was a slightly cloudy orange/amber. Flavour was well balanced, tasty caramel malts to start then the hopsy bitterness with a slightly smokey finish. Body was medium, not really remarkable in a either a good or bad way. *Update* Starting with the October 22, 2011 batch of IPA, the recipe has been updated based on what the brewmaster learned making the Tidal Wave DIPA. The new Seaworthy has more hops and more different hops and is much better now. Somehow it ended up with a better head, too. Latest batch sold out in about a week. This brew has gone from being a serviceable IPA to one of the better in the Maritimes.
