Atlas is Big Time’s most popular beer. Its mixture of pale, crystal, Munich, and light dextrin malts, with just a few pounds of roasted barley, give it a rich, robust malt flavor, and three distinctive Northwestern hop varieties (Chinook, Cascade, and Centennial) impart an aggressive hop character.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a clear dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy aroma with some hints of caramel. Sweetish mlaty caramel flavor with hoppy grapefruit hints. Has a sweetish malty caramel finish with a hoppy aftertaste.

Has all the makings of a great amber ale but just not enough of it. Grainy, bready caramel cereal malt backbone with just a touch of earth and sweetness. Nice hop profile with light grapefruit and pine essence. Really nice drink - very much like the Mac & Jacks African Amber, just a lighter version.

7/8/08 On draught at the brewpub. Aroma is rich and caramel malty with almost no hop flora. Appearance is hazy brown with a well maintained cream colored head and good lacing. Flavor is very sweet with lots of sugar and quite low earthy bittering. Mouthfeel is moderate bodied with a medium carb texture. Overall, just too sweet, not enough of either malt or hop character.

Taster - Big Time Brewery - Seattle, WA
Aroma – Lighter in the hops on this one. More darker malt in the nose.
Appearance – Dark amber color, clear with a thin head.
Flavor – Has more of a amber flavor like a Scottish light. Has the hops and malt balance with a tad spice.
Palate – Good Mouthfeel, Nice texture with a nice dry finish.
Overall – A very nice amber ale this was pleasant and easy to drink. Average beer for the regular crowd to order.

on tap-pours a light tan head and hazy amber color. Aroma is medium malt first, then citrus hops. Taste is medium malt, balanced with citrus hops. Easy drinking. Mild carbonation. 3.3 On cask-pours a foamy retaining light tan head and hazy amber color. This is a mild version of it on tap and minimum carbonation.
