Growler. Light grassy nose, bronze with a sticky white head after a vigorous pour. Grassy hop character, crystal malt base. Growler was in my fridge for a few weeks, nary a hiss upon opening. Maybe I kept this too long and lost some carbonation and hop character.

Growler. Thanks, Clint! Pours a clear medium amber with not much head. Mild nose of tea and a bit of pine. Creamy medium body with very soft carb. Toast, caramel, a bit of pine, and a fair bit of iced tea on the mid palate. Alas, this beer, after just a brief stay in the fridge, shows all too vividly the importance of freshness in any hopped-up beer.

Tap at Fiddlers. Splendid, splendid IPA, not as sweet as some of the other Big Time offerings and with a more assertive hop nose.

Haven’t rated a beer in a while, but had to add this one. Big Time makes a lot of great IPAs, and this is up there with their best. Bill (brewer) said they got their new shipment of hops in and they had some overstock from before. So, they brewed this IPA with a shit-ton of hops. It’s got everything I love in an IPA: tons of citrus, solid bitterness yet very drinkable, and just enough comlexity from the malt. A bit of an earthy/spicy character as well. My favorite Big Time IPA? Possibly.
