Special release at Big Time on 3/20. Draft in a snifter glass. Pours a cloudy orangish amber with a nice one finger slightly off white head. This one was a bit cold, so the nose was somewhat underwhelming. Picked up some malty sweetness, floral, and hints of orange. Barrel was also slightly present on the nose. Nice carbonation and body is fairly full and silky feeling. Did have some alcohol warming as this one made its way down. This one tasted more like a Strong Ale to me rather that either of the beers used in making it. Barrel notes were present in the taste and all in all it was blended nicely; really harmonious and balanced brew. Glad I made the stop on the way home to try this one out!
