COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
People kept telling former Assistant Brewer Kelly Wiese that he looked more Irish than the Irish do, so he developed this session ale back in 2005 to prove them right. A smooth, easy drinking pale ale with a malt and hop complexity that matches the conversations it inspires. O.G. 12.6, 4.7% ABV.

Hazy amber colour. Loose head. Light caramel, shiitake and rye bread crust aroma. Light florals. Very toasty character, with an almost crackerlike crispness. Even drinking it on St. Patrick’s Day couldn’t help me like it much.

(Draught) Sampled at Big Time Brewpub in Seattle on March 2, 2007. Thin white head with a cloudy orange body. Nose is milky hopped and ever so mild. Orange and lemony flavour. Somewhat tame...

Draught Fine white head with lace; near clear pale orange-amber. Sweet, licorice, something salty in the nose, cookiedough. Sweet taste, with juts a point of hoppiness. Very watery, light bodied. Creamy texture was meant no doubt, but not right there in the end. Dull, dull, dull. Faux pas , indeed

A very boring take on this style. I do not know why this is such a hard beer to get right. Somewhat spicy and sour, with a mild malt background and somewhat light to medium bodied. Thin and watery, with some caramel in the background.

Bland copper appearance w. a light head. Interesting aroma of Fuggles? hops and cinnamon. The flavor again had a cinnamoniness to it w. a light pepperiness. Dry finish.

On tap at the brewery; a St. Patrick’s day special. Pours a light reddish-amber with an adequate head; the aroma and flavor alike offer up grassy sour hops, clover, hints of an herb garden, and chewy if somewhat mild malt. The mouthfeel is on the thin side, and this beer doesn’t do much to stand out in my view.
