COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A hybrid style incorporting the best of both continents: Franco-Belgie pale, aromatic, and kilned coffee malts, Pacific Northwest Simcoe, Cascade, Chinook and Mt, Hood hops, and a blend of Belgian and Big Time yeasts. An upfront bitterness is matched by malt complexity, while yeast phenolics dance to spicy, citric hop notes. O.G. 15.8 Plato,

Nice light IPA aroma good malt backing. Amber in color, hazy. This was a malty Belgian yeast IPA flavor. Interesting and with a good balance. Easy drinking this was a surprise for the night.

growler - thanks to riverside to the AK for sharing this; pours light yellow with fizzy white head; slight bitterness on the nose mixed with the sweet belgian yeast; nose reminds me of the stone cali; a little spice from the yeast, plenty of sweetness and a fresh, crisp bitterness; a very nice, subtle belgian IPA

Draft at The Dray. Pours a murky and burnished medium coppery amber. Dense creamy tan head. Sweet watermelon, candi sugar, banana, and belgian yeast on the nose, along with some fresh and lightly citric hops. Creamy medium body with firm carb. Watermelon, biscuit, oranges, mangoes, bubblegum, and lemon on the mid-palate. Kind of all over the place but likable just the same.

Lots of floral hops in the aroma along with some nice fruity yeasty esters. Cloudy orange with no head. Yeast up front, banana, clove, and the nice floral hops come through in the finsh. The finish is long, rather bitter, and dry. Interesting.

Medium orange with a small head that fades fairly quickly. A sweet, bubble-gum note augments the hops on the nose. I coined a new term to describe this one – a hefetripel. It has the sprightly, fruity characteristics of a tripel, but the bubble gum sweetness of a hefeweizen. Somewhat like the Houblon from La Chouffe, but sweeter. Somewhat like Stone’s Cali-Belgique, but without quite the refinement and true Belgian qualities. Still, entirely enjoyable.
