COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a rainbow of different Franco-Belgie kilned malts, two different types of sugar, unmalted wheat and some flaked oats to keep things interesting, we didn’t know what style of beer this would be when it was brewed, but we like the way it turned out. Strong, slightly spicy, with warm toasty malt undertones and a European hop sensibility; it’s a beer you need to try before you decide. OG 19.6 P, 7.33% ABV.

Pint at the brewpub in December. Rely pretty pour withbperfect light fluffled head. Nose of breast Belgian yeast, a bit brown sugury. Taste is robust, a bit sour-bitter porter dry-smoked malt. Some sweet carbonation too. Tasty winter dubbel, yum.

Very light golden-brown colour. Only thin foam. Bubblegum nose with only light brown sugar. Brown sugar-accented palate with light raisiny-pruney fruitiness.

WA Belgianfest. Pretty claret color with off-white lace. Oats, sugar, grains and spice in the aroma. Taste is mostly just dough and sugar, however--none too impressed.

An authentic Abbey Dubbel that rivals the best of Belgium. Woody brown-amber with a suitable carmelized head. A variety of moderated phenols and wheat in the nose. Multficaceted or "rainbow" variety of malt backbone (caramel, crystal, Belgian, etc.) with an array of easy phenols and smoky muskiness playing off the them. A decidedly phenolic body, but again, the spectrum is varied and no one characteristic displays dominance. An incredibly well-rounded, superbly crafted abbey brew from Big Time.

Nose of dark fruit, banana, spice, darker grainy malt, light tobacco, and earthy notes too. Pours copper/auburn, wonderful hues, nice head. The flavor is not overly sweet, but has notes of brown sugars, candi sugars, banana, caramel, some darker fruits, and some grainy notes. Light earthy hop notes come through in the finish as there are some lingering musty sugary notes and a light hop bite. Solid Washington made Belgian. I will only trade this for rarities, please inquire or make a bid... homos.

Dank manly aromas of wood, sweat and pipe tobacco. ruby in the glass. good lacing. gingerbread, raisin, and pepper. very good times. creamy body, spicy finish.
