Cloudy, straw colored with filmy head. English hops, sweet grains, and a bit of corn syrup meet the nose. Stale English hop flavor--I’m just not a fan. Dusty cardboard character.

Straw coloured and hazy. Herbal, toasty nose. Thin body has a lightly mushroomy, earthy, toasty character. Well-balanced if a little bit dull.

Well, gotta give them credit for the name (playing on local friendly competitor Elysian’s Immortal IPA). But just as Elysian’s deserves to be sempeternal, this one doesn’t need to be around for long.

The Big Time (my local favorite) lists this one as an "English IPA". If that means it tastes like Greene King, I guess that’s truth in advertising. Muddy, slightly sour, slightly metallic flavors, weak on the hops, generally underwhelming. I’ll try anything these guys brew but this one left me really regretting that I hadn’t ordered either the recent standout Maine Thing or one of the usual standby IPAs.
