On tap at Brouwer’s Hard Liver 2013. Transparent brownish pour, very little head. Figs. Fruit. Maybe a little brown sugar. That is all. There’s no complexity to this one -- it just tastes like a flat fig soda. Not offensive by any means, but quite boring.

Brilliant cedar color with dense, toffee cream head. Wonderful fig aroma couples with a deep amber malt presence, and then slinks together with figgy alcohol and dry peach fuzz. The body has a heavy citrus presence. Orange and fig notes throughout. Dry.

On tap at big time. Dark amber, just the faintest hint of offwhite head dissipated by the time i'd walked it back to my table. Quite sweet, dark fruit definitely there but overwhelming other flavors.

Draught, pours a burgundy / maroon with a small beige head. Aroma of English malt, dried dark fruits and some hops. Flavour of figs, toffee, brown sugar and just enough hops to balance. The figs linger beautifully. Awesome balance with the perfect sweetness. Not sure what the ABV is but it is completely concealed. Really excellent barley wine.
