COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Evenly balanced between malt and hops with an appropriate orange cast for fall, this years Octoberfest features the delicious flavor of Crystal hops, a more assertive variant of Hallertau. A tribute to both the German Octoberfest and the local hop harvest. A tasty accompaniment to the change of seasons. OG 15.2 (1.061)

(Draught) Sampled at the brewpub in Seattle on October 20, 2007. Thin, dissipated almond coloured head with a cloudy mildly carbonated copper body. Nose of roasted coffee beans. Flavour develops with a lovely vanilla bean blended with chocolate covered coffee beans. This is by far the best oktoberfest beer I’ve tried.

Tap at Big Time. Fresh light floral aroma a bit of sweetish caramel malts. Pours copper with a nice thin head. The flavor is fresh and hoppy. Hops are moderately bitter, but more just clean and fresh. Malt is minimal. Body is light and smooth with a crisp hoppiness.

Draft. Amber beer with a low off-white head. Light malt, light mineral aroma. Light caramel flavor with light mineral and light citrus hops. Medium bodied. light caramel, light earth, and light hops linger.

Hazy vibrant amber. Toasty, earthy aroma with a slight citrus accent. Slight diacetylly note, dark caramel sweetness and hints of earth. Well balanced.

Beautiful autumn orange-amber, but lacks a head. Like many harvest ales--this beer is an oktoberfest in name only--and is more akin to an APA/IPA. Pungent and tangy crystal hops in aroma and flavor. This tanginess saturates the tongue and is fairly pleasant.
