COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s come to be known as our fifth regular beer. A little bit bolder than the Bhagwan, with a greater depth of hop character through extensive first wort hopping. It’s got all the C hops stuff that we love, just more. O.G. 16.5, 6.4% ABV

Draft pint at Hopvine. Pours amber with not much head. Aroma is citrusy enough with some leafy notes and a bit of toffee for balance. Reasonable hop bite in the flavor, nothing out of the ordinary, but solid. Finish is of dry citrus, but a bit muddled. Decent.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of fresh oranges and caramel malt. Light to medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, malt and caramel. The finish is fruity with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent all around.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2013 Pours a somewhat hazy straw with a small, quickly dissipating head. Smell is mellow tropical fruit and a little bit of earthy hop smell. Taste is powerful floral up front, bit earthy in the middle and end. Very good and drinkable. Mild bitterness. Pretty good.

Cask at brewpub. Hazy unfiltered dark gold. Stable sudsy aerated head. Fruity aroma orchard fruit, honey peach and tangelo. Soft palate nice. Juicy body is nice and the lingering bitter finish is all about the orange peel and dandelion.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma: Again a bit reticent. Could have been my nose wasn’t in good form. Flavor: Fruity, spicy/peppery, orange and orange rind. Comment: Well-balanced and integrated. Good though the cask version was even better. CASK VERSION: On tap at the brewery. Aroma: Distinct peach like the Bhagwan’s IPA. Flavor: Peppery and herbal peach Comment: This is so smooth and integrated and, though it doesn’t develop as much as the uncasked version, the flavors are satisfying with some complexity and hold up well from start to finish. I’d give an additional point each for Aroma, Taste and Overall so is this a 39 for me. Plus the palate probably deserves an extra point as well.

This is pretty tasty. Orangeish in color. Very hoppy up front with a bit more balance later, but a super-dry finish. Better than bhagwan’s. Actually quite similar to Sierra Nevada torpedo in my opinion.

On tap at Big Time. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is nice and sweet citrus fruits, it reminds me of juicy fruit gum, but with hops mixed in. Medium bitterness, lightly sweet, medium body, with a bitter finish.

On tap, at some little pub in Seattle. Dark red/orange. Just dripping with hops; pine cone, caramel, hop oils. Medium bitterness, medium sweetness. Tasty stuff.

I was told this was the hoppiest beer at Big Time. Aroma was better than a typical brewpub ipa. Strong hops, mostly leafy and minty, but a bit of citrus as well. Flavor is bitter. Nice. Big hop component balanced by a nice toffee/caramel. Mouthfeel isn’t quite watery but it was bordering on watery. It’s good, nothing too special, but I’d have it again.

Apricot color with lacing. Smells like peaches and pears. wow! hoppy. mouth-drying, then salivary glands kick in. Rose petal and alfalfa taste.
