glkaiser (999), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 20, 2008 Clear golden with thin head. Overly sweet for me, and non-existent hops. Wheat comes through more than a hint. Nice and light for a session beer, but not much to get excited about.
Bradrcr (617), Renton, Washington, USA Oct 31, 2007 9/4/07 On draught at the brewery. Aroma is sweet, slightly grainy malt forward with caramel and light candy notes. Appearance is clear yellow with a moderate white head. Flavor is bubblegum sweet malt with a true sugar note and low hop citrus. Mouthfeel is a little odd, with an odd graint/low carb texture on the tongue and a sweet finish. Overall, too candilike, but good and drinkable. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 16, 2007 on tap-pours a white head and yellow color. Aroma is mild grain, musty, some citrus. Taste is sweet mild grain, musty, some citrus/faint flat hops. OK/mild carbonation. Old_Mr_Crow (1046), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 4, 2006 Updated: Apr 23, 2008On tap at the brewery.
Pours a light blond with a reasonable white head. The aroma offers a bit of lemon, a bit of grassy hops, but otherwise not a whole lot of action. The flavor follows similarly: light and laid back, some lemon, relatively hoppy for the style, certainly crisp enough.
But in the end, this is a lackluster example of a style that seems to attract lackluster examples. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA Sep 1, 2005 (Draft: Big Time Brewery and Alehouse in Seattle, WA) Dry, grainy nose seems less sweet than the flavor, but just as generic. Actually, there’s a funky, stinky feet nose too, so that’s a bit of a distraction. It’s mildly sweet and somewhat grainy in flavor, pretty bland overall. Light bodied. Standard straw color, clear in appearance, with a small white head that fades quickly to the tiniest of rings. Blah beer, subpar for the style to me, but probably meant for the nearby college chicks.
