After again tossing aside the constraints of the style police, I found this to be another exceptional brew. Medium gold with an OK head. Sweet, spicy aroma, with a hint of clove. Full in the mouth, complex layers of spice, clove, pepper, cardamom and chamomille. An ester fest. Really, really good.

A great beer for a summer afternoon, or if youíve had a rough day and need a strong pint. Light translucent amber color with little head. Odor is light, a little fruity. The flavor isnít complex, but stands up for itself.

A very firm brew. Highly reminiscent of peach schnapps, with some soft malt flavours and a light pepperiness in the finish.

draft. rich fruity aroma, fine carbonation with mild head, cludy orange, almost opaque, fruity aroma was a hint of a bitter sweet flavor and belgian style hop encounter at the end.

Cask version at WABL Fathers Day BrewFest 2008. Pours clear gold with a lacy white head. Sweet and creamy full body, nearly still. Lots of coriander and citrus in the taste with at least part of it coming from the hops. Dry wood and spice finish.

Hmm...smells okay, but unfortunately this actually is a bit more alcoholic in flavor than Iíd like. Some spices later, but not too strong, and not enough to cover the alcohol taste.

This belgian trippel is an amber colored, full bodied, mouth warming ale. Floral bouquets tittilate the mouth--which is left buzzing with the resonation of the experience--the tongue-numb and tingling. Sensational--would be the accurate description for this ale. Another fine ale from Big Time.

Clear bronze with light head and carbonation. The aroma is tart with sweet bubblegum & banana, some clove & a lack of yeast. The flavor is citrusy & spicy with clove & alcohol. Lots of phenols and esters though. Tasty!

Clear golden with a dense white head. Sweet yeasty aroma balanced with some spices. The flavor is much the same with bubblegum and alcohol coming into play. I also pick up some esthers like in a hefe. Full bodied. Nice.

On cask at San Diego Real Ale Fest, Carlsbad (6/12/09): Pours a hazy golden bronze with a well-lacing frothy white head. Aroma of sweet fruity esters and toasty pale Belgian malts. Starts with good fullness and rich Belgian malty complexity with some doughy balance and coriander spice before a semi-sweet, drier finish. A pretty good and enjoyable Belgian strong ale.
