3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bvc (1004) - Kenmore, USA - FEB 11, 2012
Draft at big time. Unfiltered orangey honey golden with small dense off white head that leaves spotty lacing. Mostly sweet citrus fruit with malt undertones up front. Guava, oranges, pineapple, unfiltered apple cider, faint pine notes, malt adds to the sweetness with some crystal in there for sure. Full body feel for a dipa with decent carb that borders on flabby. Tropical fruitiness up front and though to mid to late palate with just a hint of bittering on the end...not all that aggressive. Drinks fine, somewhat chewy and would had like more of a hop punch in there to really follow up a clever name.

Drinking at Big Time. Pours with a orange hue, moderate head, and disapates quickly.
Light hop aroma.
Taste comes off as similar to green flash. Lots of initial hop bite, lingering for some time. The higher carb carries the hop flavor.
Overall, a very drinkable IPA.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mcberko (2465) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 17, 2012
On tap at Naked City, pours a murky orange with a small white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, resinous hops and caramel malts. Flavour of earthy hops, quite a dirty flavour profile, with subtler tropical fruits, caramel malt and a bit of booze. Earthy and dirty. The name resembles what it’s mocking, but not the beer. Good, but lacking.

Pours light honey amber. Cloudy. Not much aroma given the concept - citrus and pine over butterscotch. Flavor is really nice - hop-forward, very full, and with a great hop-resin aftertaste. Nice... Certainly super tasty... But this feels more like a double than a triple. Really like it, though.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Smurf2055 (384) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 7, 2012
Poured on tap at Big Time, 2,300 batch so they put out a triple IPA poking fun at Pliny.
Pours a murky orange with a couple fingers white head. Good lacing.
Smell is hoppy yet balanced. Hop character is present, but not very strong.
Taste is luscious floral hoppiness. A bit bitter, but more citrusy and grapefruit. The best way I can describe it is a 90 minute IPA but without the soapiness that the continuous hopping seems to produce.
Very palatable, smooth and drinkable with a bit of a lingering bitterness.
Very solid beer.
