COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Bark Bite IPA on Steroids! Plain and simple. This one might take a few trees down without trying. Itís the one all the lady axes think they can change. He might be a tough guy in the flannel shirt who tears of bottle caps with his teeth, but donít worry heís easy to get along with. Brewed with a mix of Columbus and Centennial hops, it pours pale amber and goes down surprisingly easy. Well, maybe not so surprising, considering itís from Big Wood Brewery.

This one is a flip flop for me, one sneiff and one sip is nice and herbal/piney, dry. On the other hand other whiffs and quaffs are salty putrid garbage.

Aroma is citrus, sugar, spices and a hint of tea. The flavor is citrus, biscuit malts, slight heat and a mix of alcohol, sugar and tangy in the finish.

Lots of piney orange citrus. Beautiful orange color. Big caramel malt backbone. Very well blanced. This DIPA is unique and is one of the better ones i have had.

Pour on tap at APN 2013, hazy orange pour with thin white head, aroma was very sweet orange, and grapefruit notes, hints of spice, lots of caramel, toffee, slight grassy notes in there as well. Taste is a mix of orange, grapefruit, sweet caramel, toffee, hints of grass, slight earth, finishing fairly bitter. Ok.

Pours a dark hazy gold color, tropical fruit on the nose, caramel notes up front with a hoppy finish, very interesting ipa but very tasty

Sampled at the beer and bacon festival in grand forks. Very nice caramel forward malts followed by a nice hippy bite. A very good dipa.

Split a pounder with one of my co-workers, who brought this from Minnesota. Thanks! Poured a clear, dark orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was herbal hops, bitterness, plenty of resin. Flavor had plenty of hops, malts, nice balance. Not overly boozy for nearly 10%. This was dangerously good.

pkbites you and I must have completely different taste buds, or you rated the wrong beer... no caramel or malt and all... this was a hop bomb and had only hop characteristics. Floral and citrus to the finish and I wish it has a little more malt to balance it out a little better. This was very enjoyable and will definitely drink again

Cloudy but light reddish pour. Slightly off white head that is creamy with some lacing on the glass. Nice caramel/bakery/malty aroma. Thick, sweet, caramel mouth feel. Strong alcohol content is immediately detected and itís not pleasant. This would be quite good if not for the malt liquor burn upon swallow. Ethanol over takes the hops and other flavors. High ABV all but ruins an otherwise excellent brew. For shame. ĎTis a pity. 2.6 out of 5.
