COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Bark Bite IPA on Steroids! Plain and simple. This one might take a few trees down without trying. Itís the one all the lady axes think they can change. He might be a tough guy in the flannel shirt who tears of bottle caps with his teeth, but donít worry heís easy to get along with. Brewed with a mix of Columbus and Centennial hops, it pours pale amber and goes down surprisingly easy. Well, maybe not so surprising, considering itís from Big Wood Brewery.

Hop balance is toward the flavor and aroma end of the spectrum, which is a nice to see from this style. I was expecting a resin bomb, nut the bitterness was very smooth. Sweet malt character balanced the hops nicely. A nicely made DIPA.

Pint can. Poured cloudy medium golden with a sticky off-white head. The aroma picked up sharper fruit skins first and foremost, with alcohol and medicinal hops also present.. didnít smell very enjoyable. The flavor found similar stuff.. pale and caramel sweet malts at the core, with sharp fruit skins, peppery alcohol, and raw bitterness laced throughout.. some nice, fruity hop character joined at the end, but overall it was very medicinal. Medium-bodied with fairly filling carbonation.. spicy and sharp.. I donít need another.

Smells earthy and piney. Head was frothy with a creamy white foam. The pour was clear and golden. The taste was a little heavy on the sweetness, medium bitterness, long finish,

16 oz can poured a hazy orange amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of bread, earthiness, grapefruit zest, floral notes, melon and light pine. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, grapefruit, earthiness and light pine with a smooth dry moderatly bitter lingering grapefruit finish.

Meh IPA. More on the sweet malty side for an IPA. Kids creamy body. Pine and wood hops. Not exactly fresh.

This pours a hazy, amber color with a foamy off-white head. The aroma is filled with bitter citrus. For being an IIPA that taste is rather sweet and is very easy drinking for being 9.8% This is a fairly well rounded beer that is balanced and yet tasty for all the right reasons.

This one doesnít have it all there. dominated by the maltyness to get it up to double IPA status, but not much hop flavor left. decent, wouldnít get again, but it was enjoyable and another good minnesota brew.

500ml can from Breeze Thru. Pours a clear orangey copper with a spongey white head leaving nice spots of lace. Aroma has pine and citrus and caramel. Quite grapefruit/spice heavy. Taste is of bitter grapefruit, lemon zest, sweet caramel malt and some spicy pine. Down through the glass the caramel pushes to the front, although never taking over and staying fairly balanced. Medium bodied and a bit sticky, with a touch of alcohol. Finishes bittersweet, in a nice balance between the two. A solid, quite balanced, effort that is not too extreme.
