Moderately deep amber colored ale with nice carbonation. Pleasant prickliness develops in the mouth working synergistically with the candi malts. Hoppiness continues to develop as well as some green complexity. A nicely balanced strong ale.

Sampled draught at Bill’s Tavern, Cannon Beach Amber color, light lacing. Nose of tart cherries and buttered popcorn, some fig & persimmons too. The flavor is lightly salty & the alcohol is up there, reminds me of a fishy smell.

True to its name.... Definitely a worthy brew, very rich looking, darker than I expected and yes very strong. Don’t know if I could handle more than one at a time.
