2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Grima (1240) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JAN 18, 2011
500ml bottle from the central railway station, Frankfurt/Main
Beautiful deep yellow color, medium-pored head. Smells more malty than hoppy, therefore. Starts malty and spicy, but then comes a strange bitterness in the aftertaste To the center part it gets even more bitter and hoppy...

Bottle thanks to Kaori bought in Frankfurt. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A sweet grainy honey nose. Smooth and tasty; honey, clean, mellow spicy hops. Nice.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 troyc (2014) - Oklahoma, USA - NOV 17, 2010
[Tap] Pours a deep golden color with a quickly receding white head. Noble hops, cereal and grass in the aroma. Sweet light malty taste. Herbal bitterness throughout, with a touch of soured grain. A bit out of balance. Lingering grassy hop notes were a little dirty/stale tasting. Average body. I was looking for a bit more with this one.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 tkrjukoff (2285) - SWEDEN - NOV 2, 2010
UPDATED: NOV 4, 2010 Pours clear light amber with huge fluffy white head leaving very nice lacing on the glass. Malty, hoppy, slightly sweet, fruity and herbal aroma. Flavor is malty sweet, hoppy, slightly caramel, crisp - very pleasant to dring, enjoyable. Acidy sweet on palate. Finishes first sweet for a short while turning into dry tart bitter hoppy afertaste. Great pils.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 drpimento (1695) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 30, 2010
Great German Pils! Poured with a huge, thick, foamy, frothy, fluffy, white head that lasts a long time and lots of lace. Color is a clear yellow. Aroma is somewhat muted, but does have malt, grain, hop, fresh cut grass, and is clean & fresh. Flavor’s the same way with the bittersweetness standing out. Bodis a little softer and fuller than in most beers of this type. Great carbonation. Finish is like flavor and of medium length. Super easy drinking, session beer.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 heavy (1466) - Split, CROATIA - AUG 20, 2010
Due to typical German pils flavor, I believe that I had this Binding on tap in a restaurant in Ilidza, Sarajevo. So it poured pale golden body with medium sized head that was going down slowly. Grainy and herbal hop aroma, sharp and simple as that. Flavor itself was similar, mostly bitter and dry, slightly sourish on moments. Medium to thin in body with shorter cardboard hop aftertaste. Average German pils, fine enough, but uninteresting and easily forgettable.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Bif (529) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUL 30, 2010
Had served in the Romer district of Frankfurt in Binding glass. Color is golden with a nice full head when served. Has a pilsner grainy aroma. Taste was crisp with a dry aftertaste. The body is light with generic pilsner flavor and slightly bitter finish. At any rate this is a much better beer "vom fass" than in the bottle.
