4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cask at Craft Beer Co., London. Brown pour, light tan head. Great roast and light vanilla nose. Medium sweet flavor, good vanilla, some chocolate, nice roast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, some dirt, faint bitterness, earth, roasty malts, lingering vanilla, light mocha. Awesome beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask Conditioned Handpump Craft Beer Co London. A black beer with an off-white to beige coloured head. Full of vanilla in the nose, over and above anything else really although I’m a big fan of vanilla so that’s OK by me. Beautifully balanced in the mouth with the vanilla working with the roasty dark malts. Not over roasty, just a really tasty stout.

Honestly...vanilla float. Quite creamy, and easy to drink, with the sweet vanilla and coffee. Good.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at the Magpie, deep dark red-black with a loose coffee coloured crema, vanilla, coffee and a little strawberry on the nose. Roasty palate with coffee notes, touches of burnt treacle and liquorice, and just a hint of choc and vanilla. Dry and roast body contrasts nicely with a bittersweet finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Black pour. Slight tan head that lasts almost the whole drink. Might be because I keep swirling it though. Little bit of lacing. Huge vanilla nose followed by some hints of chocolate and coffee. Taste is the same. The vanilla gets a little overwhelming at times, but is nicely balanced. Not too shabby.

Nice dark color with tan foam head, slowly changing to only a foam ring. Aroma is good, coffee, chocolate, little vanilla. Likewise the taste, nice bitter too. Aftertaste is long lasting, coffee. (Velp 201312)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at the Nags Head, Reading. Sooty black with a loose tan head; aroma of vanilla and chocolate malts; thin and milky consistency, sweet, with a natural vanilla flavour and some chocolate malts; then a dry, roasted malt finish. Even as I write this, some three hours after drinking it, I can still taste the vanilla!

Pint on draught at the Crispin in Wokingham. Black with a short lived brown head. Very nice vanilla/chocolate/stout flavour. Roasted aftertaste. Its pretty good. The aroma is largely chocolate, quite mild.

Cask (CWAF2012, Friday)
Very dark. Very vanilla, like a chocolate cake with vanilla sauce on. Easy to drink, not too heavy (and despite what I just said not oppressively sweet), it’s almost watery at times in the finish. Nice one.
