3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Typical Belgian beer that is slightly sweeter because of the added honey. Good beer, nothing special. Bought at de Schans in Uithoorn.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Color ambra con schiuma beige mediamente persistente. Aroma dolciastro e floreale con sentori di miele, caramello e pere; gusto dolce con note fruttate e un finale persistente. Corpo medio, una birra piacevole e per nulla stucchevole!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels. Rated on 27.2.2013.
Pours a cloudy golden colour with a white head. Aroma of grassy hops and very sweet caramel. Flavour of strong grassy hops, very sweet caramel, yeast and apricot. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and a fruity caramel finish with bitterness. Good, but maybe a bit too much on the sweet side.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours amber in color with tan head. Sweet, malty and slightly alcoholic in aroma. Taste is similar with some light hoppy bitterness. Honeymalty in aftertaste.

2013.01.29 - Bink Bloesem - 11.2oz bottle in goblet glass.
Pours a murky darkish amber to caramel, perhaps. Just the right amount of carbonation, or close to it. A substantial head does itís thing and then mostly disappears.
Aroma is not strong bready yeast, or mucho malt as many Belgians are. Itís a bit hard to pin down but itís fruity and tart a br, minus citrus... Pears makes sense when you know itís in there but it isnít obvious to me from smelling.
Mouthfeel is medium light. Just a bit creamy, trace carbonation.
Taste is interesting. Not as much malty sweetness as youíd expect given it lists five malts as ingredients. Just enough to give it some body. Pear juice is evident in balance, and I can certainly detect a bit of honey. Almost braggot-like which is what I hoped. Perhaps in the ballpark of Widmer Brothers Prickly Pear Braggot though it has been a while since I drank that. Not earth shattering but certainly enjoyable. I think with a litle more malty sweetness this would be even better.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a 330ml bottle into a Fullers snifter glass.
Pours a dark yet clear brown colour, with a nice head.
Smells fairly sweet.
Tastes quite bittersweet, definitely tasting the honey and the muffled sweet and tangyness of the pears.
Overall a really pleasant beer, my only criticism would be a toned down bitterness.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Beautiful dark amber coloured beer with a nice head. Very nice honey-sweet pear sirop aroma. Flavour is very complex, a medium sweet taste is always present but youíll also taste the honey and the pears. Very special but nice brew. (Bottle 33cl)

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Bottle. Murky amber pour with a light beige head. Dark fruit, yeast, raisin - kind of like a dubbel, this is really good.
