Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 12, 2006 A hazy dark amber beer with a thin light brown head. The aroma is complex with notes of alcohol, prunes, malt, fruit, and caramel. The flavor is sweet and with strong notes of over ripe fruit combined with a light dustyness, leading to a dry very fruity end. The sweetness is a bit cloying. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 4, 2003 Bottled. Orange-brown. Aroma of pear and marmalade. Sweet and honeyish with soft mouthfeel and a fruit salad finish. A lot of interesting things going on here. Papsoe (10510), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 27, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Hazy amber colour with a creamy, off-white head. Sweetish notes of honey and especially pear sirup. But not overly sweet or cloying. just yummy. 170501 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 11, 2005 Cloudy medium brown with a fairly rich head. Mild chocolate, rose petals, wildflower honey, dates and moon cake in the aroma. Sweet palate with a hint of acidity in the back to cut through and keep it lively. Flavours are subdued relative to the aroma, but still with the date-like, chocolate-accented malts. Well-structured, fairly easy drinking beer. yespr (6944), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 7, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours hazy and golden deep orange to brown with a creamy and light tan head. Dense caramel malt aroma, also light fruity to flowery. Flavour is dark malty, roasted and slight metallic. Light yeasty touch. Followed by a mild fruity finish gliding down from the dense caramel everlasting flavour into a smooth and wellbalanced finish.
