COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
After the blond and brown version, the brewery made a third type of beer: the 'Bloesem Bink' (Blossom Bink). It’s a beer of high fermentation, unfiltered and not pasteurized, with secundary fermentation in the bottle. We brew this seasonal beer every year in the same period (spring-summer). The ingredients are: five types of malt, one belgian type of hop, brewing liquor, yeast, honey from Sint-Truiden and syrup of pears from Vrolingen. It tastes fruity with a lightly sweet character and a long fruity and bitter aftertaste. The alcohol content of this springbeer is 7,1% vol.alc.

Very smooth and easygoing beer. Floral, sweet malt, honey, pear. Body is very creamy & smooth. Syrupy and a little sticky. I kinda like this beer ;)

Bottle 33cl. When poured murky redbrown color, after settling nice clear amber color, quite a difference, small frothy off-white head, dissapears quickly; at first sweet malty nose, as aroma develops: honey, pear, fruit syrup, toffee; taste moderate sweet, honey, slightly bitter; full body, creamy texture; nice lingering bitterness dominates finish with sugary undertones. A nice beer.

Bottle (33cl) into tulip glass. Muddy brown appearance with short lasting medium-sized off white head. Aroma has toasty malt character with notes of caramel, honey, cherries, vanilla, and alcohol. Palate is smooth and oily with mildly sweet fruity and toasty malty flavours with a satisfying dry finish and slight alcoholic burn. Fullish medium body and lowish carbonation. Enjoyable.

Überzoet, in aroma honing, gebrand suiker en snoep. In smaak wederom gebrand suiker, licht fruit. Gaat wat tegenstaan, te zoet.

Bruin met lichte roodtint bier. Weinig schuim. Smaak is licht zoet met chokolade, caramel en licht rooksmaak. Blijft gemiddeld hangen.

33cl bottle Appearance: opaque chestnut brown with a offwhite, big head, a couple of fingers, but retentio is poor, not much lacing. Aroma:honey, caramel, pear syrup Taste: sweet caramelised malts, honey and yes some peer syrup is there in the finish but most of the sweetness just blows out the individual components. medium carbonation, medium body, sticky mouthfeel. Sweet and with all the sweet parts the balance is gone and it’s hard to distinguish the different sweet tones.

33 cl fles. @home. Lekker bier met veel smaak ook al proef ik nou net geen peren. Of hebben die naast de brouwketel gestaan.

Bottle at taverne De Klee in Kuttekoven. Was in the neighbourhood so I decided to taste one of the local brews. It was too early to watch the trees blossom so I was hoping this blossom beer would bring some sunshine on this cloudy day. The beer is dark amber with a thin head. The head disappears very quickly. Aroma is not very special, some honey and sugar. Taste... Not very special. Rather neutral and pretty sweet, you can taste the syrup, but it is not fruit beer sweet. I can enjoy this on a sunny day, but there are far better alternatives.
