COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
After the blond and brown version, the brewery made a third type of beer: the 'Bloesem Bink' (Blossom Bink). Itís a beer of high fermentation, unfiltered and not pasteurized, with secundary fermentation in the bottle. We brew this seasonal beer every year in the same period (spring-summer). The ingredients are: five types of malt, one belgian type of hop, brewing liquor, yeast, honey from Sint-Truiden and syrup of pears from Vrolingen. It tastes fruity with a lightly sweet character and a long fruity and bitter aftertaste. The alcohol content of this springbeer is 7,1% vol.alc.

Very smooth and easygoing beer. Floral, sweet malt, honey, pear. Body is very creamy & smooth. Syrupy and a little sticky. I kinda like this beer ;)

Ziet er goed uit maar smaakt spijtig genoeg niet zo. Smaakt naar chemische troep. Tegenvaller

The beer that is intended to celebrate the well-known horticulture around Sint-Truiden, with pear syrup and honey added to the mash. Creamy beige head, colour reddish brown with amber hue. Malty aroma, chocolate, caramel, fruity indeed with the pear syrup clearly present - and fitting in nicely. Fruity taste, honey and again the pear syrup adding sweetness and mellowness, malty, finishing in a lightly toasted and hoppy bitterishness. I like this quite a lot.

Mild sweet yeasty aroma. Brown a bit cloudy with light light brown cap. Well balanced caramel bitter and sweet taste with some sourness on the tongue sides.

Reddish color with a little foam. Despite 1.5 years to BB date did it taste old :-(

Bottle. A hazy, dark amber to light brown beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma has quite a lot of oxidation, with bready caramel malts, acetone notes, fruityness and a touch of dried fruits. Canned pears. Itís lighlty sweet on the palate, with white sugar, canned fruits, a generic fruityness and some caramel. Bread and some bitterness. Acetone, bitterness, fruits and dried fruits in the finish. Not very good, still nice in a way. Donít like the acetone. 140717

Bottle 33cl. When poured murky redbrown color, after settling nice clear amber color, quite a difference, small frothy off-white head, dissapears quickly; at first sweet malty nose, as aroma develops: honey, pear, fruit syrup, toffee; taste moderate sweet, honey, slightly bitter; full body, creamy texture; nice lingering bitterness dominates finish with sugary undertones. A nice beer.

Bottle (33cl) into tulip glass. Muddy brown appearance with short lasting medium-sized off white head. Aroma has toasty malt character with notes of caramel, honey, cherries, vanilla, and alcohol. Palate is smooth and oily with mildly sweet fruity and toasty malty flavours with a satisfying dry finish and slight alcoholic burn. Fullish medium body and lowish carbonation. Enjoyable.
