4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 dhurtubise (568) - Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 3, 2003
An excellent example of a hoppy belgian blond ale. Tremendous hop presence, high bitterness, combined with somd fruity esters and pleasant malt flavour. Dry to the finish.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JorisPPattyn (6725) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JUN 27, 2003
Orange-yellow, slight haze. Dense white head, not very stable. Nose: honey, malt-syrup, citrussy. Taste: bitter! but these days more citruspeel-bitter at first than pure hops. Quite refreshing. In the aftertaste more hops. Flavour as a pie with preserved slices of lemon or oranges. Perfumey. medium-bodied, long citrussy aftertaste. nice, no doubt. But I would like a more outspoken hopcharacter.
0.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 SilkTork (4736) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - JUN 20, 2003
Bottle. Sewer water appearance. Spiced fruit and yeast aroma. Dry spice, increasing in intensity. Cigarette ash, antiseptic, tree bark, tigar balm. Gee, this is becoming disgusting. My lips are burning. I need something to wash out my mouth for gawdsake! Phew! Looking at other comments I must have a wierd one, though omhper got some tiger balm as well. I can't finish this - it's joining Cave Creek down the drain.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 beerslayer (753) - New Jersey, USA - JUN 13, 2003
A good Belgian ale. Peppery, hoppy, and citrus flavor. Finnish is crisp and clean.
3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 29, 2003
Bottled. Golden colour, clear, smallish head. Very estery: tiger balm and bubbleguma are prominent. Sweet, rounded and mild, yet light in body. Sweetish finish. Spectacular aroma!

Cloudy straw color. Nice banana esters. Some corriander. Malty. Undeserving of such a low score!
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Suttree (3925) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 22, 2003
Orange. Tastes like a less complex Orval, with an oak and pepper flavor. I see in my notes that I also described it as "hugert". I have no idea what that means, It was the last beer in a long tasting session.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Kåstå (1221) - Mol, BELGIUM - MAR 19, 2003
Blond beer with a small head. Hop and some fruity citrus aroma. The taste is bitter hop with some citrus. It is a good beer if you like more bitter stuff.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 21iceman40 (1732) - vienna, West Virginia, USA - MAR 10, 2003
This has to have one of the gayest names of all beers I have had, now if it were changed to blink then it would be one of the coolest. Besides that it had a nice sunset sherbert color to it. Not a big aroma on this, just some yeast. Kind of a boring belgian, little yeast, little orange peel, little alcohol.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 microdyke (360) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 10, 2003
An orange color. A light wheat floral aroma. Some wheaty flavor with sourness and some citrus.
