3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ReAle (120) - Rome, ITALY - MAR 7, 2011
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 crossovert (2777) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 21, 2011
Label calls it a hoppy ale. It comes in a 11.2 Belgian style bottle with hops adorning the label art.
Pours into my Duvel glass with a large soapy looking head over a murky golden/orange/brown beer. It leaves classic Belgian styled lacing behind as the head recedes.
Smells like an aged Duvel. Very strong yeast on the nose, even a sour note. Subtle medicinal, herbally, grassy, earthy hops are there too.
Taste is pretty mellow, has a nice hit of malt up front and some hop bitterness in the finish. Could use a little less sweetness and some more flavor but it is a pretty laid back easy-drinking beer.
Overall it is a decent beer nothing I’d immediately go out and buy more of though. It is ok but isn’t anything overly exciting.

Cloudy dark yellow beer, white small creamy head, adhesive. Aroma: citrus, hops, somewhat fruity and a faint note of honey, yeast. MF: soft carbon, light to medium body. Taste: very bitter up front. Yellow fruits (pineapple and unripe nectarine), some honey. Aftertaste: is turning very dry, bitter taste that lasts for a long time in the back of the throat.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 flavio_b (235) - ROME, ITALY - JAN 11, 2011
Gold/yellow cloudy body, froth not persistent and yeast aroma. Also banana and malt tastes are noticeable. Medium carbonation and refreshing enough. It didn’t make me crazy, but it’s good stuff.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - DEC 31, 2010
Draught at the Kerkom pub. Very lightly hazy gold color with lasting white foam. Fresh hoppy aroma with some mild bready malt and a little nectarine as well. Light fruity sweetness in the flavor that gives way to a dry and hoppy finish. Medium light in body. Great balance. Nice blond with a good hoppy touch.
