3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 minch25 (563) - Medford, USA - JAN 28, 2008
Best before 12/08. Brought back from the Bier Tempel in Brussels and my only bottle unfortunately. Honey blond, lush foamy head, moderate carbonation. Delicate apple pie aroma, very tripel-like actually. Flavor is on the dry and hoppy end of the spectrum. Very balanced and refreshing - a beer to happily be drunk every day. Maybe it won’t turn many heads but you can’t help but notice how well made and authentic this tastes, and it’s one more great example of how to make a great hoppy beer without ripping people’s tongues out and without going to braincell-killing levels of alcohol. Cheers.

Poured a golden tan color, small head dissipated. Aroma was kind of grassy, or herbs, or old hops. Luckily the taste was better. Medium light sweetness, light bitter. Light bodied, decent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Small bitter finish. This has some hop character to it, just not great hop flavor. This beer was not doing it for me.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Leanu (40) - Red Lodge, Montana, USA - MAR 24, 2012
Bottle, tulip glass. Beautiful golden color, quickly dissipating white head. Smells slightly hoppy and a little floral. I noticed that some of the sediment poured remained suspended in the liquid. This translated directly into the mouthfeel, very full. Flavors of hops and stonefruit. Delicious!
