Not very tasty. Aroma is floral, and apple. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness. Palate is oily, with a thin-to-medium body. Yellow, bubbly, with a thin fizzy head.

Bottle. Pretty much how I would have expected a filtered wheat beer to taste if I hadn’t already tasted some great ones (eg Schöfferhofer Kristallweizen). Utterly soulless, with nary a whiff of wheatiness left to be found.

bottled. deadly poor version of a deadly bland style. pale golden, raw sugar and detergent aroma, some harsh and rancid flavours with no nice ones to compensate

Bottle -- Pours with no head and soft drink-like bubbles. Aroma is not pleasant: bready, lemony and... medicinal. No lacing. Flavour is heavy and genuinely unpleasant. Didn’t finish the bottle. I suspect my bottle has gone off... Will try again next time I’m in Rutherglen (or not).

19 Jul 2006 - (Victorian Microbrewer’s Showcase) - Sweet ripe stewed fruit with some burnt weird aroma. Clear light amber colour, low head and poor suds lacing. Simple sweet lolly flavours and a hint of wheat flavour. Thin, sweet uninteresting low hop finish.

Odd and unsatisfying wheat beer. Failed to raise much of a head. Some caramel and lemons in the aroma. Peculiar flavour mix - sherbet lemons, toffee, honey. By no means undrinkable. Can’t say this brewery impresses. (330ml botle from the Australian Hotel, Sydney)

I could not dinstinguish this from the pale ale. Another flat watery bland soft drink with a bit of corn grain thrown in. No head or flavour was identifiable. Rutherglen should stick to wine.

Bottled. Clear golden. brief head. Bready malt aroma. Medium sweet with fairly light body and clean mouthfeel. Very low bitterness. A very straight forward thirst quencher type of beer.

After being disappointed with the lager I didn’t have high hopes for this one, well it was justified! Dull lemon taste which matches the appearance as well as the aroma. Like bridge I also get some sherbet but no crispness, very thin body and a very average finish.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2005 Yellow gold with a small but persistent head. Slight lemony hop aroma, with some crispness that reminds me of sherbert. Fairly bland flavour, which seems to prove this is aimed at the quaffers market. Again reinforcing this is that the carbonation level is quite good, and it has a really light body. This would make a good alcoholic substitute for a soft drink on a warm summers day - which again is probably the market this is aimed at. (tap at brewery)
