COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bintara Dark Wheat beer is based on the traditional Dunkelweizen beer of Germany. Dunkel meaning dark and weizen meaning wheat, this beer has a variety of dark malts added to the recipe to give it body and colour, Bintara Dark Wheat has a fruity aroma, sweet body and spicy dry finish.

Not too bad, but not great. Aromas of roasted malt, and chocolate. Taste is sweet, with average duration. Palate is thin and watery. Brown, with a fizzy head.

Bottle -- Pours with a medium head that quickly disappears and a reddy brown colour. Aroma is sweetish and weak. Watery mouthfeel with pleasant amount of malt but too much sweetness. Not at all horrible but I won’t be repeating the experience.

Great deep red colour with ordinary head retention. Typical Bintara aroma - sweet, toffee, honey, diacetyl and cardboard. Very sweet and caramelly taste. Paradoxically thick yet too fizzy. Nice toasty maltiness with weird overripe fruit and is somehow watery on top of all the sweetness. This definitely does not use a proper weizen yeast and really doesn’t exhibit any Dunkelweizen character. In a lot of ways (the heavy body and awkward sweet finish) this is the complete opposite of everything a good dunkelweizen should be.
