Bottled. Clear golden, no head. Buttery malt aroma. Malt driven and very carefully hopped with clean rounded mouthfeel and low bitterness. A beer that doesn’t stick out in any direction, but still is well crafted.

Clear orangey golden body with a poor head. Aroma is caramel and butter. Taste is boring, mainly the taste of malt comes through without much hops helping out.

Pissy head…off to a bad start. Ultra clear amber. Sweet malty nose, boiled lollies, smells a bit cheap and nasty. Sweet flavours don’t really kick in on the palate, quite subdued and to be honest a bit lifeless. Carbonation levels are quite appropriate and the beer delivers a crisp, thirst quenching hit. Perhaps the best of the brewery but these guys need to do more.

highlandlad (1416) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - DEC 30, 2005
Mediocre naturally carbonated lager from the heartland of the Australian fortified wine industry. Poured an intense gold with a fat rocky head and busy carbonation. Middling head retention. Really liked the aroma from this one and can’t improve on Aarleks’ "honeyed" description. It’s sweet and very malty, with big honey notes. Ah, if only the flavour followed through. Instead you get a pale imitation of the aroma, thin in body and taste. It’s all sugary malt, with only the faintest late bitterness in the swallow. The natural carbonation here is a little too soda-like and burp inducing. (330ml bottle, thanks to Bridge for this one)

Hop malt aroma. Clear amber colour with poor head and no lacing. Bitter malt hop flavour. Flat palate.

1 May 2006 - Sweet toffee malt hop aroma. Clear amber colour, low head and no lacing. Sweet malt and hop simple flavours. Tangy light bitter hop finish and light malt aftertaste.

Gold colour with no head. No aroma identifiable. Lots of malt predominates with a bit of sweetness. Pretty bland but not too bad. Best of Bintara I’ve had so far.

Orange or gold with rapidly diminishing head. Deeply malty aroma which I've decided is biscuity. Taste is rather similar, lots of malty flavour with a little hops but not bitter.

Copper colour, poor head retention. Reeks of diacetly, but I didn't find it all that offensive. Some paw paw and caramel in the aroma too. Thin bodied and lacking base malt character but with a fair bit of crystal malt. Nice dryness akin to a pale ale and some hop flavour. Quite reminiscent of Sam Adams. Never heard of the Marzin region of Germany, or its beer either.
