4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 cheapdark (2809) - Quiptown & Central Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 20, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2008 I had this on tap at the Sharp Edge Creekhouse in Pittsburgh, thanks to mtoast. This has got to be one of the best places to get a beer tasting experience. This brew pours with a reddish orange fruity looking purple hue that is pleasing to the eye. Has a very nice and attractive pinkish head. Overall, this is a great looking brew. Has the aroma of cherries but I must say this is not like the overwhelming aroma of the Cherish Raspberry, it is more laid back. Fruity well behaved smell yes, but not excessive. Ooooooo, the taste of this stuff is simply divine. Like creamy almost sour cherries. I really like the flavor of this stuff. Has a cherry creamy carbonation that is enjoyed, like that of fine fruity champagne. You must taste this to really get an idea of the flavor that I cannot put into words. I imagine kings, queens and other royalty regularly requesting this kind of beer. Finish is sweet, but not overly sweet. Very enjoyable nothing like it, except perhaps their raspberry Cherish. Just plain simply very, very nice. There is not a hint of alky in this brew what so ever, just cannot detect it.

Draught. Nice red colour, creamy foam. Cherry taste (for sure!), like a siroup. Quite long end especially on the lips.

On tap at the Sharp Edge. Dark ruby, pink head. Aroma is cherry cough drops. Flavor is malt, metal, cherries, feet. Not very good, but not a drain pour.

I don’t really care for lambics but this was from Belgium and on tap so I had to try it. As far as lambics go it was outstanding. Not my style, but outstanding. The aroma and taste were like Cherry Halls in seltzer water. The pour was a brown/red with decent head. All in all very tasty, just not my style.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 MesandSim (7108) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 4, 2007
A Sim rate (bottled from the Belgian Belly): Glorious sweet kriek aroma with sour hints. Similar in the flavour. Tangy and slightly acidic in a balsamic vinegar Rodenbach Grand Cru kind of way. Almost spirit like rather than beer like.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Bart (2332) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JAN 3, 2007
Hazy reddish pink coloured with an average pink head. Cherry aroma, little sour with even some little yeasty touches. Full body. Finish is cherry-sour, little bitter, ending a little woody-peppery. Different than commercial cherry beers. Good one.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 shrubber85 (4842) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - DEC 19, 2006
Bottle. Smells like cherry syrup mixed with sour milk. Cloudy brownish-red color with very slight head. Light cherry Kool-Aid flavor initally that is stopped by a quick bitter metallic flavor and ends with a watered down sour/musty flavor like a watered down gueuze. Too sweet for a traditional lambic and too poorly blended to be enjoyed by those who like sweet fruit lambics.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Naven (988) - Poway, California, USA - DEC 17, 2006
Bottle, labeled "Cherish", purchased from Whole Foods Market, San Diego. I dont really know how to rate this. I know that this is Technically beer, but it tastes like a wine cooler. My wife said it tasted like Cherry juice. So, this is a little hard to rate -- but, i’ll just go on record and say that this is something that is easy enough to drink, kinda fruity, refreshing, and probably the perfect elixir to get your lady friend all liquored up and in the mood. So, for that, I say good work.
