COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Bios Kriek Lambic is sold under the CHERISH label in the USA and outside Europe. Everybody likes the right balance between the sourness of the Lambic and the sweetness of the fruit, in this case cherries. The aroma of the cherries is not too dominant, as it should be. The beer gives a very pleasant and refreshing feeling in the mouth, with a smooth cherry aftertaste. The Bios Kriek Lambic is an excellent thirst quencher, low in alcohol (5 % by volume) and great to drink at parties. True Lambic lovers prefer the Bios Kriek Lambic so much because you taste slightly more of the Lambic sourness, than in some more commercial Belgian Lambics, wherein the artificial sweetness is too strong.

A mix of two thirds two year old lambic and one third oud bruin, cherries added. Red-brown. Balsamic with balanced sweetness, with fresh, tart cherry flavour. Tasy and interesting, but perhaps a bit sweet in the long run.

I generally do not like krieks very much. They’re too girlish and reminds you too much of some soft-drink. This is probably the best. For once, the aroma is not artificial, but it really smells of real cherries. However, I still think it’s wrong to ruin a great lambic by adding fruit.

This had a really odd aroma. It smelled of alcohol and I am shocked, absolutely shocked that it is listed at 5%. It also smelled very fruity. It was an odd smell. This tastes like a heavy alcoholic wine cooler. Very strong and very intense. I give low scores in some these departments because i can’t give it high marks in appearance or palate, but this was an interesting experience. (draft)

This is my first experience with this style. I got a bottle of this in a Beers of the World sampler. It has a bit of a fruit wine feel to it. All in all, I really do like this beer for something different.

This was the first kriek lambic that I had and it’s been awhile since I’ve had it so perhaps I should give it another try. That said I really didn’t like this. The cherries were just overpowering. It felt like cherry 7up.

This is nice at first but the aftertaste is strange. I cant put my finger on it but it is a little off.

Good, but the cherries were a little overpowering. Tasted more like the cherry juice had JUST been added to the brew, and in a large quantity. Had a strange aftertase that I did not really care for.
