COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Bios Kriek Lambic is sold under the CHERISH label in the USA and outside Europe. Everybody likes the right balance between the sourness of the Lambic and the sweetness of the fruit, in this case cherries. The aroma of the cherries is not too dominant, as it should be. The beer gives a very pleasant and refreshing feeling in the mouth, with a smooth cherry aftertaste. The Bios Kriek Lambic is an excellent thirst quencher, low in alcohol (5 % by volume) and great to drink at parties. True Lambic lovers prefer the Bios Kriek Lambic so much because you taste slightly more of the Lambic sourness, than in some more commercial Belgian Lambics, wherein the artificial sweetness is too strong.

Sweet cherry goodness with a hint of funky tartness. These Cherish brews seem like they would suck but they don’t.

Bottle poured aclear ruby red with a lasting pink head. Aromas of cherry coughdrops, cookie and light vanilla. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. Flavors of sour pie cherries, cookie and a hint of vanilla with a crisp dry tart lingering cherry finish.

This smells exactly like a jar of dyed, syrupy cherries. It tastes much less sweet and more like the cherry fruit. Hibiscus, slightly woody. Great

(8.4oz bottle via trade with BA pastradul) clearish ruby red, soapy tan lasting head. Nose of sugary cherry syrup, a bit woody/medicinal. Taste of cherry syrup, very sugary, tobacco, light spices and wood. Syrupy body, Sweet linger. Wish I wasn’t sweetened. It’d be decent if it wasn’t.

Bottle pours ruby with a pink head. Aroma shows plenty of candied cherry with a touch of funk. Flavor shows basically the same with some bready/caramel malt and a touch of oak to dry out the sweetness. Overall not shabby, but a little on the sweet side for me, and not enough acid to save it.

Pours a red color with a pink head. Aroma is pretty much cherry with a hint of some wild yeast. Tart flavor of the cherries with some wild yeast and a hint of some horse blanket. A little too much fruit and not enough wild yeast flavor. Still decent.

Appearance: dark red with a fluffy pink head; tons of lacing. Aroma: sweet-tart candies, rich bready malts, cherry syrup. Taste: cherry-flavored hard candy, tart raspberry preserves on whole wheat crackers, some dried fruit notes in the back. Finish: tart, juicy, malty and sweet; the flavors linger pleasantly. Notes: Very sweet, but with a good amount of tartness to balance and nice carbonation to keep the experience from becoming cloying. Of all the fruit lambics, a kriek is my favorite, and I found this to be a very tasty example of the style.

Pours dark ruby with a fluffy pink head (not something I get to say often!). Smells like cherry and raspberry. Tastes like cherry, raspberry with a slight tart finish. This is definitely a cherry syrup, and it’s definitely pasteurized. Still, given this it’s very tasty, although not beer or lambic-like.
