COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Bios Kriek Lambic is sold under the CHERISH label in the USA and outside Europe. Everybody likes the right balance between the sourness of the Lambic and the sweetness of the fruit, in this case cherries. The aroma of the cherries is not too dominant, as it should be. The beer gives a very pleasant and refreshing feeling in the mouth, with a smooth cherry aftertaste. The Bios Kriek Lambic is an excellent thirst quencher, low in alcohol (5 % by volume) and great to drink at parties. True Lambic lovers prefer the Bios Kriek Lambic so much because you taste slightly more of the Lambic sourness, than in some more commercial Belgian Lambics, wherein the artificial sweetness is too strong.

Bottle. Pours a ruby hazy beer with a pink head. Aroma is sour cherries, barnyard funkiness, and a sweet nose. Falvor is that with a light sourness and a strong passion of cherries. I enjoyed this one.

Bottle. Sweet cherry cordial flavour, medicinal, but with just enough sourness to make it bareable to drink, tart i guess you’d call it. A little artificial.

Bottle: Dark crimson red color, pinkish head, light lacing. The nose is fairly sweet and tart with light cherry notes and a bit of malt. Lots of sugary sweet syrupy cherry notes and a bit of vitamin C and a dextrous body. A bit funky, but still 2 dimentional.

Bottle. Staff recommendation to try to nudge a wine drinker a few steps closer to the beer world. Bright red, medium pink head, scant lacing. Aroma of cherries (no kidding). Taste is midway between a sweet geuze like Lindeman’s and a more traditional sour. Inoffensive, and useful for its purpose.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2005 When the bartender poured me this "Cherish Kriek," he told me it tasted like a cherry cobbler. Darned if he wasn’t right. Light red with a pink head, it has a sweet cherry aroma and flavor, giving a touch of the tart only on the finish. Nice drink.

Head is initially small, fizzy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium amber, dense tiny particles. Aroma is mostly artificial cherry, lightly malty (light bread). Flavor is heavily sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic. Medium body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent. Too sweet, smells and tastes like cough syrup.

Amber, reddish colour with a beige head. Cherry fruity aroma with a light tart note and hints of marzipan. Light tart cherry fruity flavor with hints of wood. Dry, light dusty finish.

I generally do not like krieks very much. They’re too girlish and reminds you too much of some soft-drink. This is probably the best. For once, the aroma is not artificial, but it really smells of real cherries. However, I still think it’s wrong to ruin a great lambic by adding fruit.

Bottle. Smells like cherry syrup mixed with sour milk. Cloudy brownish-red color with very slight head. Light cherry Kool-Aid flavor initally that is stopped by a quick bitter metallic flavor and ends with a watered down sour/musty flavor like a watered down gueuze. Too sweet for a traditional lambic and too poorly blended to be enjoyed by those who like sweet fruit lambics.

Clear cherry red color, big pink head. Sweet cherry scent, mix of sour cherry and the bitter seed. Rather sour cherry taste, a bit sweet to begin with and ends a bit bitter seedy, but dominating sour. Medium mouthfeel, a bit puckering. Low bitterness, sweet aftertaste.
