Cask (gravity dispense) at the Bricklayers Arms Yorkshire Beer Festival on 23 February 2011. Very dark. Dry and chocolaty. Quite powdery cocoa feel. Also some licorice. Firm mouthfeel - quite full if it’s a mild, quite light if it’s a stout (one of those dark beers that is a bit indeterminate in style). A decent drop whatever.

Gravity cask at the Bricklayers Arms BF. Ruby-bown pour with a bubbly, beige head. Roasty nose with sweet caramel notes and mild chocolate. Nice flavor, lightly sweet with burnt cocoa, light roast, licorice and dark fruits. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with hints of mocha, and slightly tangy. Nice beer.
