The Jalapeño Pale is in a class by itself. Using our Free Will Pale as a foundation, we add a generous amount of fresh, hand-cut jalapeños mixed with a hint of awesome. Don’t be scared to try it! The Jalapeño is refreshing, crisp, and pairs well with the peanuts we have in the tap room!

On tap at VBGB in Charlotte. Looked nice, had a cool aroma of peppers and southwestern spices, but I could just not get into this one. The pepper taste was almost fake-tasting and was completely unappetizing. I couldn’t even finish it, actually - my fiancee really liked it, though, so maybe I’ll try it again sometime with a clean palate.

I am a fan of pepper beers and this one (16 oz can) is a nice one. Haven’t tried the base pale, but generally don’t care for English hopped pales. Hops play a Back seat to the jalapeños, but it’s well balanced. Light to moderate Hoppiness and a nice pepper aroma and flavor, fresh, vegetal without a ton of heat. Nice summer brew.

Different kinda beer from local clt brewery. Aroma and taste dominated by fresh jalapeño notes. Very one dimensional beer. No heat to speak of which jives with the can label. Not picking up much hop character. Fairly easy drinking and medium mouthfeel. An interesting take on a pale ale but how much jalapeño does anyone really want to drink? Novelty category here. One and done. WBA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bright golden with white head. Smells like straight up fresh jalapeños and citrus. Flavor is not hot but pepper flavor is there. The citrus flavor is there second in line. Overall not for session drinking but good for a pint.

16 oz can; slightly cloudy, amber color; citrusy hop aroma with mild pepper notes; earthy, bready malt with citrusy hops and tropical fruit notes and mild jalapeno notes; though no real heat

Delivers on what it says it is. Good pepper flavor without the heat although I would have preferred that.

Can shared by Cliff. Pours a hazy golden with a thin layer of spotty creamy head. Aroma and taste of spice, fresh veggies, malts.

Can. Well you can definitely smell the jalapeños, which is a bit intimidating. But the heat isn't overwhelming. In fact, I'd like it a shade bit hotter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16oz can from Busick. Pours a hazy orange color with a finger of foamy off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, light grapefruit, and fresh jalapeños. Taste of toasted grain, grass, light earthy hops, hints of grapefruit skins, and lots of fresh jalapeño, with no burn. This was decent, but I would have preferred some heat.

Aroma makes me smile, full of pepper. Looks a nice deep yellow with a full white head. Taste is light but full of pepper zest and spice. No burn but it feels like it could be there. Finish is a bit bitter.

Pint can from the brewpub. Aromas of jalapeno, starfruit. Hazy light orange with a mostly fading white head. Mostly dry, big jalapeno flavor with no spice. Light-medium bodied.
