COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lazy Bird captures the essence of what it means to be an American Brown Ale. It pours a mahogany brown with a noticeable lemony yet roasty aroma, which comes from a heavy amount of cascade hops at the end of the boil as well as a generous amount of roasted barley in the mash. This combination of malt and hop intricacy makes for an enjoyable beer year round.

Draught at the Birdsong, Charlotte, NC. Hazy dark brown colour with a small light tan head. Sweet malt, sugary sweetness, mild roasted notes and hoppy bitterness in the aroma. The flavour is grassy hops, moderate bitterness, roasted malt and ashy dryness. Balanced. Tasted this one also as a Nitro version. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Serving: Draft at Draught. Dark brown pour with a nice light tan head. Nice lacing too. There is a little roasted malt, some nuttiness, and a little coffee in the nose. Nice mix of roasty flavors on the palate that are similar to the nose with a bit of earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with a medium finish. Nice version of an American brown.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2014 Draft: pours a very dark brown with a small kith tan head. Aromas are like sweet roasted bread, the flavor is much the same... Nice malty, bready... Great brown ale.

On tap @ Birdsong with jcnielsen. Pours a hazy reddish brown appearance with a tan head. Toast, nuts, and a bit of smoke in the nose. Quite sweet. Shit, it finishes very sweet. Kind of jumps up on you. Toffee offered as well. Some Fuggles. No.

On tap at the brewery. Pours brown with a burgundy hue. Mildly roasty aroma with earthy coffee beans. Flavor is full of nutty malt with dark bitter chocolate. Mild roast lingers with an earthy and caramel finish. Really good.
