2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Oakes (10184) - Gibsons, - FEB 11, 2007
Medium brown, cloudy. The aroma has toast, chocolate, fudge....fairly bright...again this gets quite coarse and thin in the body, finishing with fudgey notes and light roast overtones.

On draught at the brewpub in Birdsview, Washington. Pours a dark clear cold brown brew with a fast dissolving beige head that quickly dissipates nearly clean, but a thin film top. Aroma of roasted dark malt, chocolate, light corn syrup and a touch of caramel. Taste is medium bodied, roasted dark malt, some chocolate and a hint of powdered sugar. Finish is semi-sweet, a tad watery with some roasted dark malt aftertaste. No bitterness in this porter.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 after4ever (4500) - Brier, Washington, USA - MAR 16, 2008
Draft at the brewpub. Black with darkish caramel highlights. Very thin tan film and super light lace sheets. Mild sweet chocolate nose. Light, almost watery body, but very drinkable as a result. Chocolatey, slightly roasty mid-palate fades into a subtle, perfectly placed coffee finish.

Pacific Northwest Vacation 2007
8/22/2007: Birdsview Its-Da-Porter pours a very dark brown color and has a lasting tan head as well as some good lacing. The aroma is mostly chocolate and the dry flavor is a nice blend of roasted malts and chocolate with a hint of coffee. This beer is smooth on the palate and pretty good overall.
Draught sample at the Birdsview Brewing Company in Birdsview, Washington. Rating #4 for this beer...
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Bradrcr (808) - Renton, Washington, USA - JUL 30, 2007
Aroma is roast malt followed by some black patent notes, then sweet caramel malt. Appearance is dark brown with a persistant tan head. Flavor is roast malt forward, with some slight sourness, nuttiness, and a rough aftertaste that is actually not too bad. Mouthfeel is medium/high bodied with low carb texture and some texture from the roast. Overall, very easy drinking for being so complicated and toasty, another nice different beer from Bird’s View.

Browner with a foamy head. Roasted malts. choclate and nutella on the nose. Thinner for my liking but does carry the roasted malty characteristics.
