Skyview (2921), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Sep 3, 2008 On draught at the brewpub in Birdsview, Washington. Pours a clear golden pale yellow brew with a fast dissolving off-white ring that leaves behind some spotty lacing and a thin white ring. Aroma of light caramel malt, orange zest, coriander with a hint of yeast. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of tropical fruit, light caramel and golden grain malts, with some wheat. Finish is semi-sweet with a tropical fruit aftertaste. One of the sweeter wits I’ve tried so far. after4ever (1752), Brier, Washington, USA Mar 16, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Hazy, slightly coppery dark straw color with very little light white film and spotty lace. The orange and coriander really come through on the nose--and they stick around for the mid-palate as well. Nice mild body with tingly sparkling carb. Clean finish with lovely light spice. Bradrcr (617), Renton, Washington, USA Aug 5, 2007 On draught at the brewery. Aroma is solid orange peel and coriander forward followed by light wheat malt with a very nice peppery tone. Appearance is a nice cloudy straw yellow with a well maintained white head. Flavor is sweet, fruity, slightly banana, has some bavarian character in some ways. Mouthfeel is medical/low bodied but creamy. Not to style, but pleasant. Overall, this is a slightly different interpretation of the style, but a total pleasure to drink. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Feb 26, 2007 Hazy and bright straw colour. Wheaty aroma with lots of orange and citrus. Flavour is lightly cloying and dominated by orange peel flavour. A little more orange than a typical wit which was a nice change.
