33cl. bottle from a beer fair in Mediona. It pours a hazy amber-copper liquid with a few little yeast spots and a high consistent beige head that lasts beautifully throughout the beer and leaves a generous lacing. Pretty nice. The aroma is very well crafted and complex, mostly hoppy with a good base of malt. There are hints of yeast, a little wheat and piney/herbal and floral hops, along with some fruitiness (grapefruit and orange) and a little caramel. It tastes pretty much the same in the mouth, with an initial numbing hoppiness followed by a good deal of malty caramel and some floral notes. It is balanced like the nose, but still pleasant. It is rather bitter, with a low-medium sweetness and a little touch of sourness. In the mouth it feels lively carbonated (a bit too much for me, but not annoying) and a low-medium body. It ends long and dry, with a strong herbal hoppiness that leaves the mouth perfumed and a distant fruitiness. A nice presentation (it lacks a customized crown cap, though) for a refreshing and very drinkable pale ale. Nice job.
